Activated Charcoal Powder: Claimed by some dermatologists to have the following benefits for skin: "attraction to dead skin cells and bacteria which will leave clear and healthy skin when rinsed. Additionally, its antibacterial and antifungal properties can be utilized for treatment of conditions like psoriasis and eczema".
Avocado Oil: Enriches dry, damaged, or chapped skin. Aids in wound healing and boosts collogen synthesis in skin.
Castor Oil: Because it's rich in fatty acids, castor oil has moisturizing effects. Said to help with fighting acne. Helps to create a richer lather.
Coconut Oil: Lathering and conditioning for the skin. Said to help with wound healing and protects skin from UV rays.
Indigo Powder: Used as a natural colorant for our soap. Ancient pigment created through process of turning leaves from the Indigofera plant (in the Pea family) into powder. Helps in healing the skin: has restorative properties and is prized for its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial benefits. Good for sensitive skin and psoriasis. Located in tropical and subtropical places across the world.
Madder Root Powder: Used as a natural colorant for our soap. Madder is a type of plant belonging to the Coffee family (an herbaceous perennial) and the roots are pulverized into powdered form. Madder has been used to treat various rashes, aid in wound healing, and helps with dry skin. Has a compound called Alizarin which is an effective anti-bacterial. Distributed throughout Mediterranean regions in Asia, Africa and Americas.
Olive Oil: Has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties and is used for hydrating dry and itchy skin.
Rice Bran Oil: Softens and moistures the skin. Has UV protection properties.
Shea Butter: Conditions the skin. Has anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties.
Spirulina powder: A blue-green algae in powdered form. Used as a natural colorant for our soap. High in vitamins A, C, and E which keeps the skin looking supple and health and boost natural radiance.
Turmeric Powder: Used as a natural colorant for our soap. Brightens the skin and has been used to aid in wound healing, treat dry skin and skin conditions like psoriasis, and is an anti-inflammatory so used to reduce inflammation.
